Mysuru: The heritage capital of Karnataka

Image
When I took off from Delhi, my offer letter stated I need to be at Mysore. When I waited at Majestic Bus stand for Mysore bus conductor was calling out the name "Mysoor Mysoor Mysoor", I double checked if this bus goes to Mysore. On the way, I read about this pronunciation and it was derived from Mahishasur. Say this 10 times as fast as you can and it will get shorten to Mahisur. No, I am not making fun of Kannada but this is a true story. The city was named after Mahishashura. It was getting devastated by this demon and only after that Devi Durga killed him. Durga is a familiar name in north India. Here, in Mysore, she is known as Chamundi Devi. A dedicated shaktipeeth like Vaishno Devi is present here as well. This temple is Chamundeshwari temple.  Mysore, earlier written as Mysuru in our history texts was known to me because of the Tipu sultan story. Historically this region has been capital and still widely known for its cultural heritage. It's a very small town, with

Back to WORK

It's been two years since I have written this blog. It wasn't like I was not available or forgotten my writing. Either way, it wasn't like I was too busy at work or anything. For once, I even forgot my own blog address, and hardly remember or cared to write anything. But here I am, I am wishfully thinking to resume writing again. Let's start. Where was I, all that long? I was placed at Infosys. To be more boastful, India's no 2 IT company is worth. Although by living here in two years, genuinely I have never thought it that proficient. So 2 Oct, it was that I landed in Mysore. We were college friends, went inside a life-changing 4 months long training. Why life-changing may be in some other blog. But there I hardly any time to think and write. Only thing I was busy taking photographs . After that, I was moved to production at Pune. There I was on bench until I was taken to Bangalore for a project. From then I have closed one project, survived bench again, and been i

Public Display of Affection

It's been widespread to show emotions, affections even in form of loves and kisses. But when these affections are executed publicly, many of us might become uncomfortable and conservative. I am here on the first episode of think hatke, want to opine myself that the above phenomenon is not appropriate. Love is unjudgememtal, and those who are viewing should also become one. In short, PDA is directly visible in after office or non office hours, public places like bus stands, parks, malls, historical monuments and what not. As Faiz said "bol ke lab azaad h tere", we must also practice tolerance, worship our freedom and obey other's private space. PDA is not new, like it started previous year or few years back. We are studying it from ancient years, from the time of Krishna to the time of Buddha. Only thing that remained same is our perception. PDA shows the intensity of your love, How much well engaged with your partner. It also gives your partner an utter belief and fir

Data can be proved overwhelmingly wrong!!

Statistics have been proved to be useful from ancient years. Years ago when sun would have been discovered, its distance might been averaged before actually getting the correct distance. Later as we grew more interested in data, we started to discover more tools and configuring them according to our data. Data is the ingredient for any statistical occupation and tool. Through data we can honor and sustain everything.  This is in reference to the recent interview that occurred between Zee Media and PM Modi. The fact stated by him against the question that under his governance, he failed to provide sufficient jobs to the people. He replied stating that he provided 55 Lakh jobs to us. After two days Jairam Ramesh, congressman and his co-author dishonored this reply and published an article in refute of it. What they did wrote was very write in their terms of data and supporting examples.  The duo stated that Modi was telling a killing lie to the nation. They took the help

Aadhaar: A need rather than coounting its breach

Aadhaar is one of the distinguished scheme introduced by UPA government. However the chaos that it has created these days, it has always been in the limelight. Aadhaar mainly was introduced to give each citizen of the country a unique number from which they can be identified. There are many applications of these project and those who have registered with are completely inevitable after doing it. It’s like you become immortal irrespective that only agencies knows you after death, not your dear ones. The applications of Aadhaar ranges from finding a missing child to recovering the undeclared asset from a personality. Not even this you cannot evit from agencies can be tracked virtually anywhere you are, irrespective of your demographics etc. Sounds theatrical, yet the first sentence was real and we have all observed or would have heard of that. But need not to worry the theatrical would feel would even become realistic once our judiciary system finds it real essence out of it or m
